The first time I drove into Beaufort it was night. As I came to Bellamy Curve, I didn’t realize the incredible view that is there at the turn. Some days the clouds and the tide are rolling in, and the view seems to extend out forever. When I first saw this spot in the daylight, I knew I had arrived at a very special place where at a sharp turn in the road, you can experience the drama of nature and time.
