A very good friend of mine recently has shown great encouragement and support. Karen and I had traveled to Lake Keowee to gather with a group of old college friends. I shared a little with them about what I had been up to and how I was embarking on a new chapter as an artist. My friend had remembered seeing some drawings on Facebook that I had done years ago. I had been inspired by the Psalms and was creating “Scripture Sketches” as a form of personal reflection and prayer. He asked me if I would consider creating a commissioned piece for him, similar to these drawings.
